Organic Fibre Standards

  • Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS)

Our mission is to constantly develop, implement, review, protect and promote the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). For both environmental and working conditions in textile and clothing production, GOTS defines requirements that apply to the entire supply chain of products made from organically produced raw materials. The organic raw materials are produced without toxic, stubborn pesticides or fertilizers, so that soil fertility is maintained or restored. Of course, GOTS also sets standards in terms of animal welfare and animal husbandry and prohibits the use of genetically modified organisms.
